Open Mic Night, featuring poet Chloe Hanks

We're thrilled to have Chloe Hanks joining us for our first Open Mic Night!

She'll be performing, but we're opening up the stage to YOU too.

Whether you’ve been honing verse for years or you’re a complete newcomer to the world of poetry, this is your chance to perform it in front of a supportive crowd. If you want to reserve a slot in advance email We’ll do our best to fit in everyone who wants to take part.

£3 entry includes free non-alcoholic drink (sorry! We're in Quaker country).

This event replaces the cancelled Thursday 23 June Open Mic Night.

All about Chloe Hanks...

Chloe Hanks is an emerging poet from Worcestershire. With the desire to absolve female villains from the patriarchal lens, her writing destabilizes stereotypes and reinvents what is familiar. Her work has appeared in a number of anthologies, including the recent debut from Fawn Press, and she was the winner of the V Press Prize for Poetry in 2020. Her collection I Call Upon the Witches is forthcoming with Sunday Mornings at the River in March 2022. She is currently studying an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham.
