Dr Clare Bucknell, author of the The Treasuries: Poetry Anthologies and the Making of British Culture, which has been described as 'dazzling' by The Times, will be giving the first University of Birmingham, Nineteenth-Century Centre Lecture.

At this event, Clare Bucknell will give a fascinating talk on the place of poetry and anthologies in nineteenth-century culture and society. She'll be in conversation with Matthew Ward, lecturer in Nineteenth-Century Literature at the University of Birmingham, and there will also be an opportunity for audience questions.

This event is kindly subsidised by The Bookshop on the Green who are co-hosting with The University of Birmingham. This Lecture is part of the AMD Hughes Annual Memorial Lecture Series.
